Due to Covid19, we are not processing civilian fingerprints at this time.
1. Does NPD do civilian fingerprints?
Yes. Residents of Northampton or current Smith College students are welcome to call 587-1141 to make a fingerprint appointment. Appointments are scheduled every other Monday from 4-5:00 p.m., and every other Thursday from 2:30-3:30 p.m.
2. Do you need an appointment?
Yes. We cannot accommodate walk-ins.
3. How much is it?
The cost for civilian fingerprints is $10 and we accept cash only. You will be given a receipt.
4. What should I bring to my appointment?
You should bring a current form of picture identification and $10 cash.
5. Where do I go for my appointment?
Anyone with an appointment should go to the Northampton Police Department located at 29 Center Street. Business parking is available. Once in the lobby pick up a phone and let the officer or Records Bureau employee know that you’re there for a civilian fingerprint appointment.
