Northampton Police Rabies Vaccine Clinic

NORTHAMPTON, Massachusetts (April 08, 2019)- On Saturday, April 27, 2019 the Northampton Police Department Animal Control Officer in conjunction with the North King Street Animal Clinic will hold a rabies vaccination clinic.  This clinic will be held at the Smith Vocational School, Building D 80 Locust St, Northampton.  The clinic will run from 12:30 -1:30 p.m.  All dogs must be on leashes and cats must be in carriers.  Pet owners seeking a 3-year vaccine must bring proof of valid rabies certificate.  Animals three months or older who have never received the vaccine are eligible to receive a 1-year rabies vaccine.  The cost of the clinic will be $15.00 (cash only). 

Dog licenses will be available from the City Clerk. Thanks to the generosity of the Northampton Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, microchips will also be offered at the rabies clinic for $15.

Massachusetts state law Chapter 140, Section 145B requires that all dogs, cats, and ferrets 6-months or older be vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian.
