Introducing the "Informed Response" Program: Enhancing Safety for All

We are proud to announce the launch of Informed Response, a new voluntary program designed to support individuals with disabilities during emergency situations. This initiative aims to ensure that Public Safety Departments have the information they need to provide the most effective and accessible care when responding to emergencies.

What is Informed Response?

The "Informed Response" program allows individuals with specific accessibility needs—such as those related to mobility, communication, vision, or hearing—to voluntarily register and share important information with their local Public Safety Departments. This will allow first responders to be better prepared to assist in the event of an emergency.

How Does It Work?

  • Voluntary Participation: Any individual who has accessibility requirements due to a disability can choose to sign up for the program by filling out the Informed Response Form.

  • Confidential Information: The details provided will be kept confidential and will only be shared with first responders when needed.

  • Prepared First Responders: When a call is made to Public Safety, first responders will receive relevant details to help them offer the most effective assistance based on the individual’s specific needs.

Why Should You Sign Up?

Emergencies can be stressful, and having the right information ahead of time can make a significant difference. By participating in the Informed Response program, you are ensuring that first responders are aware of your needs, leading to quicker and more tailored assistance during critical situations.

How to Sign Up?

Signing up is easy! Simply fill out the Informed Response Form to register. Once enrolled, your information will be securely stored and accessible only in case of an emergency.
