Building Custodian Facing Charges

NORTHAMPTON, Massachusetts (March 30, 2018)- On Thursday, March 29, 2018, members of the Northampton Police Department (NPD) responded to Northampton High School to investigate a report of suspicious activity involving several holes in the ceiling of a girls bathroom on the first floor.  School officials and members of NPD inspected other bathrooms, locker rooms, and changing areas, and no other modifications were found.  It is believed that this activity was localized to the one bathroom.

School Resource Officer Josh Wallace, Sgt. Corey Robinson, and Detective Luann Caputo worked on this case and identified the suspect as Michael J. Kremensky.  Mr. Kremensky is age 22 and lives in Florence.  He had been working as a custodian at Northampton High School since August, 2017.  He was placed on leave shortly after the investigation began.  At 10:27 p.m. this evening Mr. Kremensky was arrested at the Northampton Police Department on the following charges:

  • Photographing an Unsuspecting Nude Person (4 counts)

We recognize that there may be questions or concerns about this case.  Because the investigation is still ongoing, we are not able to make further comment.   Our officers are working diligently to bring this case to its completion.
