NORTHAMPTON, Massachusetts (March 30, 2017)- The Northampton Police Department is pleased to announce the promotion of Corey Robinson to Administrative and Community Services Sergeant. This is a newly created specialty position, created by Chief Kasper. Sgt. Robinson will be working an administrative schedule and will have the flexiblity to attend community events and other functions as needed. The Northampton Police Department is very excited to expand our already extensive community outreach activities and functions and to provide administrative support to our busy patrol shifts.

The Northampton Police Department is also pleased to announce the addition of two new officers, Jessica A. Sullivan and Steven P. Rattelsdorfer, to our force. Both officers graduated from the Western Massachusetts Police Academy on September 21, 2016. Officer Sullivan is a Hyannis native and is currently living in Holyoke. She earnered her Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Westfield State University. Officer Rattelsdorfer is a West Springfield native and currently lives there. He is currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program at Southern New Hampshire University, majoring in Computer Information Technology. He also earned his Associate’s Degree in Computer Information Systems from Holyoke Community College. Both officers are currently assigned to the 11pm-7am shift. They will be formally sworn-in on March 30, 2017, in the Northampton Police Department Community Room. We look forward to working with both of them in their new careers.
During this ceremony various other awards were given out to officers and dispatchers for their credible and honorable acts in 2016.
