Cruiser Care Pack Program

patchIn 2013 Officer Joshua Wallace implemented the Northampton Police Department's Cruiser Care Pack (CCP) program.  The intent is to lessen the stress that is experienced by children who are in the midst of dealing with a traumatic event.

The CCP program involves the placement of packs in the trunks of cruisers and at the police station. These packs contain items such as coloring books, crayons, markers, children's books, and stuffed animals.  When Officers are in a child's home or at the police station investigating a traumatic incident, they are able to give these items to children in order to lessen the stress that they may be experiencing.
This is a non-funded program that relies solely on donations from members of the public.  Items such as coloring/activity books, crayons, markers, children's books, and small stuffed animals may be donated.  A donation bin is located in the lobby of the Northampton Police Department at 29 Center Street.
Questions regarding this program should be directed to the Northampton Police at 413-587-1100.
